Start has actually lost functionality since the original version of Windows 10 in July 2015. The Win10 Start menu is a mere shadow of the Win7 panoply. Most of you never use multiple desktops, couldn’t care less about Edge, think of the Store as an annoyance, and have found substitutes for the built-in apps long ago. You'll see that I specifically don’t talk about Virtual desktops, Microsoft Edge, Windows Store, or any of the built-in apps.
